Dear Friend,

I would like to thank you for visiting our site.  We are excited about what the Lord is going to do through this ministry. 

Let me tell you why the Great Commission Ministries exist.  We have come together to do what we can to help our fellow neighbor get to the place God would have them to be. 

            One of the areas that we have focused on is what is called the “Digital Divide.” Which states, the digital gap between the fortunate that  has access to digital communication and the poor that does not.  The graduation rate is higher for the students that have a computer in their home, than the one that doesn’t.  

            We have taken on the task to try to close this gap and help our youth reach their full potential.  We want to do what we can to make sure each child has an equal and fair opportunity to be all they want to be.  The children are very important  and we are going to invest in their future.

            This past Christmas the ministry was blessed enough to be able to donate a refurbished computer to a family of five.  We also were able to assist a family in need with clothing and necessities. Click Here To View Picture.  On March 15, 08 we placed another computer to the Summers Family a Family of nine. 

            We are not trying to seek any accolades for what we do.  Our mission is to do as we are lead to do.  We have to provide information to the community to let you know that we are serious about outreach.  If you decide to donate we will be  grateful but if you don’t the mission will still go forth. 

            In the near future we plan to extend our profile.  Coming soon we be a mentorship program, job interview training class, and Big Brother’s and Big Sister’s programs. 

            We would encourage you to explore our web-site or contact one of our members and find out all you can about us.  This could be something you are interested in, joining or donating. 

            This is a Christian Ministry and we operate under God’s direction and will by no means compromise our faith by saying that we are not a Christian organization to accept donations.  We believe that the Lord will provide a way for this ministry.
